3GP Converter v0.34
Note: You need PSP firmware v2.0 or above for your PSP to play MPEG4/AVC videos. Otherwise, please choose a target format other than MPEG4/AVC. If you don't want to upgrade from 1.50, you can still watch the video using QuickTime v7.0 on your PC. Have fun :)
Calcium has updated his 3GP Converter to see full description » version 0.34. 3GP Converter is a video converter for multiple mobile devices including the PSP and even the new iPod Video, now supporting AVC as well. This tool only needs a drag & drop to start the conversion, but you may want to specify the encoding quality and the destination folder first. A direct drag & drop of the video file onto the program's icon is also feasible. Let's encode! As always, I merged the mod by Chenkai_2002 for direct conversion of RM/RMBV, WMV and MKV video, and embedding subtitle in SRT/SSA/SUB format support into the official version. Here is the official changelog of this release: 2005/12/01 V0.34 * A stop problem with 2–pass of Xvid encode has been fixed (source unchanged but compile option). * Latest snapshot of the H.264 (x264)'s version added. * Language settings "Esperanto" from Hotta has been added. You need to install the AVISynth 2.56 bundled in the package to support multiple format conversion (easy to install). After that, open the 3GP converter, choose the destination folder and encoding preset you want and then drag & drop the video file you want to convert. QuickTime v7.0 is required too. « hide |

Battlegrounds 0.5
Xfacter is back, and he's brought the third release of Battlegrounds with him. Version 0.5 right here promises to be "MUCH more complete than the first two releases."
So, what to expect in this version? For one, there's now a full-on story mode as well as a deathmatch mode. The graphics have also been see full description » updated, albeit only slightly, apart from the addition to the new graphics for story mode. We gotta tell you, the graphics do look swell. Apart from that, there's a special unlockable deathmatch waiting for you at the end of the storymode. As for the user saving/loading and music playback, Xfacter has decided to remove it. He reasons that autosaves are easier to manage than in-game saves and music playback can be easily accomplished with iRShell. Anyway, you can check out some more info on the game in the Read me file that in the download. Now, as for the installation, for most users, you just have to copy the Battlegrounds directory to your GAME folder. But if you're using 1.5, you'd have to Kxploit it yourself. For our unit, we used the PSP Brew to install the game. Anyway, we won't be keeping you much longer. You can download the file right here, and you can join the discussion as well over at our forums. Again, be sure to check out the Read me, lest you overlook some very important notice, aight? « hide |

Beta 3.0X OE Easy Version Changer v3.0
We have here now Dabomstew's Beta 3.0X OE Easy Version Changer v3.0, a day after this application's first release. Now, there have been a couple of changes already since then (and we're not surprised in the slightest bit since these devs seem to be working overtime lately).
What's new here since the see full description » first release? This one now supports 3.02 OE-A and OE-B. Also, it now reads your current version from systemctrl.prx as the default rather than always starting with 3.03 OE-A. Plus, there's now a reset to default function, wherein it automatically changes version in the editor to your FW's default. This version also now has an added 3.03 OE-A support. Apart from that, the 3.03 OE-A character limit is still 10, while others are still at nine. Anyhow, make sure to check out the Read me for the usage instructions. That's the safest way to go. Oh, and you can also check out the forums for updates and whatnots. Dabomstew assures that he will be releasing updates if there are problems discovered. So, just keep it posted here. « hide |

Blocks that Fall v1.3
I don't know how many times I've heard the phrase "Tetris with a twist" around the PSP homebrew community before, but what I do know is this - Ville Helin's Blocks that Fall is truly a Tetris with a twist, literally. In this game you do the usual Tetris stuff - stack up bricks of different shapes. The big see full description » difference however lies on the game's rotating, 3D-fied field. Anyway, now that the game's been bumped up to version 1.3 we have another set of changelog worth a peek. Most notable of course, is that the game's now in full 3D, so rotating interfaces in-game should be more addicting. Here's the complete changelog: * The blocks drop now faster after every new gained level. * For each full row one five intercontinental ballistic rockets are launched in the background. * Square and circle buttons now rotate the playfield around the x axis, not around the y axis, as it was pretty useless. * All blocks are now 3D, so rotating the playfield works better. * Moved the preview block a little closer to the playfield. * The game is now compiled with -O0 as -O2 can create GFX glitches. Make sure to give this a go, you'll never know how a true tetris game should look and feel like until you've tried out Ville Helin's Blocks that Fall v1.3. Download's below, have fun! « hide |

CPS1PSP/CPS2PSP/MVSPSP/NCDZPSP v2.2.2 source
It looks like emulation fans have something nice in store for them today. NJ has released a new version of all of his emulators, with a couple of tweaks for each of the emulators that fans should find interesting.

CPS2PSP v1.0 (romcnv.exe v6)
NJ has updated the romcnv.exe of the CPS2PSP Kernel Mode to version 6. The romcnv.exe of CS2PSP Kernel Mode posted yesterday was version 5 and it had some bugs in it which has been fixed.
CPS2PSP Kernel Mode's romcnv.exe version 6 has the following changes:
* The bug which has become not see full description » be able to convert with the drug & drop was corrected. * When it does not convert with the drug & drop, it is not necessary to download. * Those which bundled have been done are the replacement being completed in the CPS2PSP executable file. Once we get our diploma from the Japanese Language School, our translation will be better. While NJ's identity remains a mystery, there's no denying the popularity of CPS2PSP emulator. The CPS-2 (Capcom Play System 2) is an arcade system that first arrived on the gaming scene in the early 90s with Super Street Fighter 2. It featured heavy encryption methods which was believed to be immune to emulation methods. But once homebrew developers decide on something, you know there's no stopping them. In 1999, the CPS-2 code was cracked and that's why we are enjoying CPS2PSP today. « hide |
